8 Updates Are Made to Google Ad Manager

 Google releases eight upgrades for Ad Manager and reveals a number of upcoming features.


In a recent update, Google Ad Manager received eight updates and improvements, including pricing optimization and connection with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

In addition, Google provides details on four upcoming changes to Ad Manager.

What Has Google Ad Manager Been Added To?


As of this week, Google Ad Manager offers the upgrades listed below:


1.Publisher provided identifier (PPID) time-to-live (TTL) extension: The TTL for PPID has been increased from 90 to 180 days.

2.Improve prices Increase auction floor pricing to better represent the worth of your product. This option is turned on by default.

3.Facebook rebrand: To match the company's rebrand, "Facebook" has been changed to "Meta" across Ad Manager.

4.Block ad interactions: "Allow video ads" has been replaced by the block "Block non-instream video adverts."

5.Completed SupplyChain Object: Google has completed the SupplyChain Object for authors of MCM Manage Inventory.

6.Google Analytics 4: The Google Ad Manager integration for web data is now in open beta.

7.Bid rejection reason: In both reporting and data transfer, the "Bid rejection reason" has been given more specificity.

8.webView advertising API: This is currently accessible to assist app developers in taking use of the monetization potential in WebView content.

Coming Soon: Updates for Google Ads Manager

Users of Google Ad Manager can anticipate the following updates to launch "soon":

1.Active View measuring: This replaces the Ad Manager's proprietary viewability measurement method for mobile app display inventory with the Open Measurement (OM) SDK.

2.app-ads.txt: The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standard for inventory transparency, app-ads.txt for Connected TV (CTV) inventory, will shortly be enforced by buyers.

3.Google is transitioning inquiries away from the obsolete "Ad Exchange Historical" report type and toward the "Historical" report type.
